this is a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting covered in fondant. It is wrapped in non edible lace and topped off with edible pink roses.
I had the honor of making some samples for my husbands co-worker. It was a great opportunity to expand my skills into mini cakes. I am in love with the way they turned out and glad I made them.
So I thought it would be cute to come up with some nick names for my cakes, let me know what you think.
For the red velvet with cream cheese I thought I would go with “velvety goodness”
For the vanilla coconut with whipped cream I thought of “you make me coco”
For the typical Argentinean cake I though of “el che”
And last but not least of nick names I came up with for the strawberry with strawberries & cream I though of “berry delicious”
Just let me know in the comments what you think of the names, I will also be posting them on instagram where you could also comment.
I am also thinking of opening up a Facebook page so be sure to check up on when I do finally get that going 🙂
The theme to this birthday was a tough one because Maxi was all over with what characters he was into. I was going to make a really awesome spider-man cake but he was stuck on mickey mouse so mickey won lol
I feel in love with this cake especially his tail.
you can see beside the tail the cake got a bit of a tear from the person handling my cake wrong but in the end it turned out great and nobody realized the tear 🙂
Hey guys, sorry it has been a while since I’ve posted any new pics. It has been a bit crazy with the holidays and the birthdays so now that everything has calmed down I’m going to post the new pictures.
Ok so on to my twin’s 4th birthday. I dislike making 1 cake for the two of them since they are their own person plus they are male/female twins so I cake for both will not work.
For this birthday their requests were superman and pinkie pie (my little pony for those of you who don’t know)
here are the pics
this was actually my first time with the ruffles and I loved how it turned out.
Thumbs up for a job well done on both cakes!
It was my mother in laws birthday and being the one that makes cakes, it was my duty to make a birthday cake 🙂
I didn’t know what to make, it’s much harder when it is an older person. I usually feed off there likes, hobbys etc but i had nothing with her lol. I decided to just make a basic cake but put a little elegance to it.
my end results were amazing, i really loved this cake and good a lot of amazing feedback!
So it was my big 3-0 and since i am always the one that is making cakes for others and for my birthday i just get a plain cake, my husband wanted to make me a special cake. indeed it was!!
The letters represent each one of my children which are my little angels and the m ♥ p are my husband and my initials. For a guy who doesn’t make cakes i think he did a spectacular job 🙂
